General Terms
- Warranty Coverage inHouse provides a comprehensive warranty for its products and services, including modular systems, furniture, on-site services, and more*. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects, ensuring that all products meet high-quality standards. Please note that inHouse gives warranty on those materials only, which get the warranty from the company’s side.
- Warranty Exclusions The inHouse warranty does not cover:
- Labor, installation, or transportation costs.
- Damage considered as natural wear and tear, such as scratches, nicks, and abrasions.
- Products used or installed in conjunction with inHouse systems, including electrical and plumbing fixtures.
- Modifications, accidents, abnormal use, extreme temperatures, or exposure to moisture.
- Normal incidental deterioration.
- Warranty Claims
- To claim warranty, notify inHouse within 10 days of discovering any defect via phone or email. Claims made outside this period may void the warranty.
- Warranty claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase and payment. The warranty is valid only if the product is maintained and used for its intended domestic purposes and remains at its original installation site.
- Replacement and Repair
- Repairs or replacements will be made according to the current product offerings. If a product is obsolete or discontinued, inHouse will replace it with a similar style based on availability.
- Limitations
- inHouse will not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from defects or delays.
- The warranty period for replaced components will be limited to the remainder of the original warranty period. It will not exceed 10 years for modular wardrobes, storage, and kitchens from the date of possession.
- Legal Jurisdiction
- The terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru.
Modular Systems
- Warranty Period
- Modular and semi-modular kitchens, wardrobes, storage, hardware, and accessories: 10 years.
- Coverage
- Cabinets, shutters, drawers, and panels: 100% replacement free of cost.
- Hardware and accessories: 100% replacement free of cost.
- Exclusions
- Damage from misuse, alteration, or exposure to harsh conditions.
- Costs related to installation, transportation, or labor.
Furniture
- Sofas
- Warranty excludes upholstery wear, cushion softening, color fading, and damage from rough handling.
- Lifetime warranty against borer/termite issues in solid wood furniture.
- Other Furniture
- Warranty excludes upholstery wear, cushion softening, color fading, and damage from rough handling.
- Natural wood characteristics are not considered defects.
- Lifetime warranty against borer/termite issues in solid wood furniture.
- Brand Partners
- Additional warranties may be provided by brand partners. Consult with an authorized inHouse representative for details.
On-Site Services
- Coverage
- Applies to services like painting, gypsum false ceilings, electrical work, and plumbing, starting from the date of registration.
- Exclusions
- Does not cover damage from natural calamities, vandalism, abuse, or wear and tear.
- Involves no alternative accommodation during repair work.
- Claim Procedures
- Notify inHouse within 30 days of discovering a defect.
- The company reserves the right to inspect and perform tests before repair or replacement.
Gypsum False Ceiling
- Coverage
- Applies to false ceilings exceeding 150 sq ft, subject to satisfactory inspection.
- Exclusions
- Damage from water leakage, physical damage, or use of non-approved materials.
- Warranty is valid for 6 months.
Electrical Work
- Coverage
- Applies to electrical work exceeding INR 50,000, with replacement for defects like short circuits or loose contacts.
- Exclusions
- Issues due to improper power input, water damage, or repairs by unauthorized representatives.
Plumbing
- Coverage
- Applies to plumbing work exceeding INR 50,000, covering leaks and manufacturing defects in pipes.
- Exclusions
- Issues arising from improper water quality, physical damage, or repairs by unauthorized representatives.
Home Improvement Solutions
- Coverage
- Includes decor and home improvement products like furnishings, wallpapers, and lighting.
- Exclusions
- Warranty is subject to the manufacturer’s discretion. inHouse is not liable for disputes between the manufacturer and the buyer.

The cost indicates the overall repair/service charges.
The categories of services, i.e., Woodwork (Modular/Factory-made Carpentry/Onsite Carpentry), Painting, False Ceiling (Gypsum), Electrical, and Plumbing will hereinafter be referred to as “Product” in this warranty.
Warranty Commencement Date: The warranty will be applicable on inHouse service work starting from the move-in date or handover date (whichever is earlier).
Warranty Applicability:
- You shall register a warranty claim with the inHouse team within three (3) days from the date of discovery of damage or defect to the Product(s). If the Product is confirmed to be defective upon inspection by an inHouse-authorized representative, the defective part will be replaced without charge and/or in accordance with the claim terms.
- The warranty will be honored only on the following conditions:
- The Product supplied and installed is cared for, handled, and maintained as per the care instructions, used for its designated purpose, and under regular domestic use.
- The Customer must have a warranty card or a valid proof of purchase (invoice or work order), which must be shown to avail the warranty. If the Customer has any difficulty obtaining assistance, please write to: care@inhouseinterior.com.
- The Product is still owned by the original purchaser.
- The Product is at its original/initial installed position and location.
- The warranty has not expired, subject to the limitations set forth in the Terms & Conditions.
- Repairs and/or replacements are subject to the current Product offerings of styles and construction options available in the market at the time of the claim. If a claim is filed after a Product becomes obsolete or discontinued, the affected component will be replaced with a component of a similar style based on availability at the time of the claim. The decision to repair/replace any part or complete Product will be at the sole discretion of inHouse based on the report submitted by the inHouse service representative.
- In the event repair work has been done to a Product without any authorization from inHouse, the Product’s warranty coverage is automatically deemed void.
Sole and Exclusive Remedy:
In the event of a defect in the workmanship or materials of a Product or Product component occurring during the warranty period described above, inHouse will, at our option, repair or replace any defective Product or Product component. If it is not commercially feasible to repair or replace a defective Product or Product component, inHouse may refund the original price paid by You for the defective Product or Product component, or provide a credit towards a similar type of Product sold by us. The foregoing are Your sole and exclusive remedies for any Product defect or non-conformity. By way of example but not limitation, the following costs and expenses are not covered by this Limited Warranty:
- Labor costs for the original installation, removal, or reinstallation of the Product, or defective part thereof.
- Labor costs or material charges for the removal, reinstallation, repainting, refinishing, or replacement of any other items or building materials which must be removed, replaced, reinstalled, or refinished to repair or replace the defective Product or component.
Further, we reserve the right to modify or alter any Product design, specifications, or materials without obligation to make similar changes to Products previously manufactured or sold by us. The repair or replacement remedies offered by us under this Limited Warranty are contingent on the current Product offerings of styles and construction options within our Product line at the time a warranty claim is made by You. If a valid warranty claim is filed for an obsolete Product, we reserve the right, at our sole option, to honor its repair or replacement obligations under this Limited Warranty by replacing the affected Product or component with a new Product or component with a similar/comparable Product. If a Product or components are replaced or repaired, we cannot guarantee an exact match with the finish or appearance of other Products/fixtures installed at Your dwelling.
Categories of Service Work Covered Under This Warranty:
Custom Woodwork:
This warranty is applicable for furniture including but not limited to upholstered furniture, solid wood furniture, coffee tables, beds, headboards, dining tables and chairs, accent chairs, metal furniture, and outdoor furniture.
- The following are not considered defects: natural wood characteristics such as variations in grain, color, mineral streaks, and knots.
- Replacement laminates/finishes (if applicable) shall be provided, as long as the particular laminate/finish (finish details are necessary) are available in the market.
- Any claim made in terms of this Warranty shall be made within three (3) days of the consumer discovering any defect, damage, or failure which gives rise to a claim within the warranty period.
- The labor rate will be determined by inHouse and will reflect the current prevailing market labor rates and the same will not be disputed by You at any point in time. The labor rate may be determined on the basis of a per sq. ft. rate or on a daily wages rate.
- The warranty will cover the following defects only:
- Bulging of core material.
- Bubble formation in top finish.
- Surface peel off.
- Patches formation in polish.
- Malfunctioning of hardware.
- Any other manufacturing defects approved by us.
- The warranty does not cover:
- Upholstery, normal wear and tear, softening or flattening of cushions and foam, color fading from sunlight, damage caused by rough handling, abuse, negligence, alterations, use of abrasives, corrosive materials, cleaning agents, or improper use and maintenance.
- Any cabinetry or component parts that have been subject to alteration, modification, accident, abnormal use, extreme temperatures, and continuous contact with water, high moisture levels, or use of harsh and/or abrasive cleaning chemicals.
- Use for purposes for which it is not designed or intended by us.
- Cosmetic damage, including cuts or scratches, dents, damage caused by accidents/impacts, waterborne debris, or damage caused by non-compliance with maintenance guidelines.
- Any fault arising in the Product due to tampering, repairs, modifications, alterations, or dismantlement caused by any unauthorized personnel.
- Damage due to any work carried out in the kitchen area post-completion of the installation of the kitchen.
- Damage caused or contributed to by the removal of the cabinets following initial installation.
- Wood will continue to expand and contract with seasonal changes; therefore, hairline cracks at door joints and movement of wood panels are characteristic of wood cabinetry and are not eligible for warranty. There is no warranty coverage for warping, cracking, or shrinking of doors resulting from inappropriate humidity levels (Relative Humidity of 40%-50% should be maintained throughout the year). Natural woods will vary in color and characteristics. Warranty does not cover Products purchased without a finish. Color changes in wood due to sunlight, household cleaners, smoke, and other environmental conditions may be apparent over time, as these changes are customary for wood. These color deviations are not eligible for warranty. Replacement or add-on parts may not match the original cabinetry due to these changes.
- Damage caused or contributed to by events outside inHouse’s control including but not limited to Acts of God, fire, explosion, contact with corrosive matter, extreme weather conditions, flood, vandalism, soiling, misuse, abrasion, improper storage following delivery, rot and/or infestation following delivery, leaks (or similar incidents).
- Damage caused by water leakages from water outlets or water spillage due to user’s negligence.
- Defects caused by pests including but not limited to termites, ants, wood borers, and rats.
- Damage caused or contributed to by household animals and misuse by children.
Painting:
- inHouse will not be responsible for exact matching of existing colors or textures. Neither can inHouse guarantee that the finish paint samples you selected will exactly match the finish coating.
- Any claim made in terms of this Warranty shall be made within three (3) days of the consumer discovering any defect, damage, or failure which gives rise to a claim within the warranty period.
- The labor rate will be determined by inHouse and will reflect the current prevailing market labor rates and the same will not be disputed by You at any point in time. The labor rate may be determined on the basis of a per sq. ft. rate or on a daily wages rate.
- In coastal areas, fading and chalking occur with all surfaces. Within normal limits, this is not considered a failure or defect.
- Damage caused to the painted surface due to fire, excessive heat exposure, corrosive agents, abrasive materials, or by the customer including without limitation due to rework/fitting work done by the customer after handover.
- Warranty shall apply if:
- The overall paint surface area exceeds 500 sq. ft subject to satisfactory inspection.
- Make the property accessible to inHouse authorized representative(s) to perform the repairs.
- The replacement paint shall be provided as long as the particular paint code (paint code is necessary) is not discontinued by the manufacturer.
- Paint failure shall mean any of the following occurrences:
- Film integrity, flaking and peeling of the paint, caused by one coat of paint coming off from another or the paint film coming off from the substrate.
- Fading of the color shade.
- Growth of fungus and algae on wall surfaces (spread over a minimum area of 10 sq. feet).
- The customer has used the entire paint system recommended by inHouse. An undercoat of primer along with top coat is mandatory and not using the same voids the warranty.
- Warranty does not cover:
- The paint film is not guaranteed against high abrasion (e.g., areas subject to heavy wear, such as stairways, or high traffic areas).
- Damage due to forceful impacts.
- Unusual wear and tear.
- Discoloration of paint as a result of chemical exposure or external contaminants, e.g., excessive moisture, animal excretion, or exposure to sunlight.
- Paint on exterior or surface exposed to harsh weather conditions.
False Ceiling:
- Any claim made in terms of this Warranty shall be made within three (3) days of the consumer discovering any defect, damage, or failure which gives rise to a claim within the warranty period.
- The labor rate will be determined by inHouse and will reflect the current prevailing market labor rates and the same will not be disputed by You at any point in time. The labor rate may be determined on the basis of a per sq. ft. rate or on a daily wages rate.
- Warranty shall not cover:
- Water damage due to leakage from the upper floor.
- Any damage or defect which arises from tampering of the product, accidental impact, or negligence.
- Minor paint/finish damage on the ceiling due to movement, vibration, or structural shifting in the building.
Electrical:
- Warranty is applicable to electrical fitting including but not limited to light fixtures, switches, sockets, and panels.
- Any claim made in terms of this Warranty shall be made within three (3) days of the consumer discovering any defect, damage, or failure which gives rise to a claim within the warranty period.
- The labor rate will be determined by inHouse and will reflect the current prevailing market labor rates and the same will not be disputed by You at any point in time. The labor rate may be determined on the basis of a per sq. ft. rate or on a daily wages rate.
- Warranty shall not cover:
- Electrical failures caused by external factors like fluctuating power supply, faulty wiring from other sources, improper handling, or misuse.
- Damages caused by third-party modifications or alterations.
Plumbing:
- Warranty is applicable to plumbing installations including but not limited to pipes, faucets, and fixtures.
- Any claim made in terms of this Warranty shall be made within three (3) days of the consumer discovering any defect, damage, or failure which gives rise to a claim within the warranty period.
- The labor rate will be determined by inHouse and will reflect the current prevailing market labor rates and the same will not be disputed by You at any point in time. The labor rate may be determined on the basis of a per sq. ft. rate or on a daily wages rate.
- Warranty shall not cover:
- Plumbing issues caused by blockages, external damages, or negligence.
- Damages caused by changes in water pressure or quality.
- Repairs and maintenance arising due to wear and tear beyond normal usage.
Important Notes:
- This warranty does not cover consequential or incidental damages, including but not limited to any damage to property, fixtures, or any associated costs resulting from defects in the Product or Product component.
- The warranty may be subject to change or modification based on new policies by inHouse. It is advisable to refer to the latest warranty terms at the time of the claim.
